Quests that earn you Gold Pention
Simply this is a petension that is for Quest that give you a decent amount of gold. Some of the early Quests give you some gold y not the Later ones?

There is one quest in Lion's arch which gives you 500g, which is a lot.

I believe he meant a Petition, and it does sound like a good idea, but I think that ANet implemented the gold reward quests early on to try and give new characters some leeway into the economy. But hell, I'm still poor, so /signed lol.

-Petition for a Pension
Changing the meaning slightly, looking at it like this suggests old players getting a pension to live on.
So, all kinds of farming are now to be N E R F E D.
So now, the only way of making money is actually playing the game. Obviously most people have to farm to get the expensive armours, therefore the price of them can be reduced.
So people go through the game, make money, buy Droknars armour. Then they complete Hell's Precipice, Sorrows Furnace and the Titan Quests. Now, since farming is nerfed, and they don't yet have Granite/Marhans armour, how do they now make money apart from continually playing the same things over and over? So these players will now get bored before they have enough money.
Therefore, as they have completed everything, they receive a pension. They have retired from their career in saving the world, although they will still fight. They are paid a certain ammount regularly. As they kill more and more, (i.e. doing stuff again) the payment increases. So now, they can play around and shortly they will have enough money to buy the expensive armour. To get a higher pension they will be encouraged to do more. (Scrap fissure armour, btw, perhaps all those materials and stuff can have another use, and fissure and underworld can just be a place to kill and make some money)
Now, once they have this expensive armour, their pension can stop. They no longer need money for anything, and can simply fight. And it is the same for every character. As farming is nerfed, no-one can run, farm or do anything but actually play the game.
(btw, that was crazy and can't happen )

its not a problem but it would be nice to have a reason to do quests other than saying youve done them. Most of the 250-500xp quests in the end of the game are useless, the items you get are useless almost even in pre-searing. Giving 500g or more is just icing on the cake.

I agree on this, why spend hours doing 10k xp quests inthe UW when your already lvl 20 and you dont need skill points? Why not 5 Plat reward for a 10k xp quest?

Why not, a little more incentive to do some of the quests is a good thing and more people doing quests = less people farming. Hmm, maybe not?

/Signed, only if the quests are repeatable and HARD, then I can see alotting 500 gold for your time. If the quest is just a run here and talk to this person, then no.
Repeatable meaning a FOW/UW/LATER end quest.

Sigh. The problem is, the price on Ectos and Shards (for example) is based on supply and demand.
If you raise the amount of Gold available to players, the prices will simply rise.
If players REALLY, REALLY want FoW armor more available, then we need a Petition to raise the rates of Ecto and Shards drops.

/up in the air
while yes gold drops for missions/quests would be nice, it will still raise the prices of things, because of the fact that there is more gold circulating into the GW economy. throwing money at that probelm wont solve it. also you would only be able to do some quests (with the exception of FoW/Uw) once, so people will still have to farm to make up the difference. and for just 500g, not many people would do a quest taht would take an hour to do, aka final assault in sorrows.
while however this would get more people to do quests and missions rahter than constantly farm, youll still have people farming as it can net them more gold over time and is less time consuming. but it would be nice to actualyl get groups doing quests so i dunno........

The question is:
What do you really want with all this money?
If you want Gold Items, then Petition the rates of drops.
If you want FoW armor, then either Petition for increased Drop Rates, OR have a special quest for FoW armor...
of course, if EVERYONE could get FoW armor so easily, than it wouldn't be worth having, would it?

as ive said from the beginning, so many people want the max dmg items and dont realize that ANYONE can have them. they are called collectors. leran to use them and 90% of your gold problems are solved
They offer everything from max dmg weapons, to max ar shields, to max energy and skill benefiting wands and staffs, to even max character armor with bonuses. for new chars wanting to get into the game, these are essential until you build up your wealth and playing ability to be able to get the higher priced things in GW
